H.E. Jayant N. Khobragade
Ambassador of India to ASEAN
Mr. Jayant N. Khobragade joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1995. He has done postings at the Indian Embassies in Moscow (Russia), Almaty (Kazakhstan), Madrid (Spain) and served as India’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.
While being posted in India, he has served as Deputy Secretary / Director of Disarmament & International Security (D&ISA) Division of Ministry of External Affairs; Joint Secretary, West Africa Division of Ministry of External Affairs; and Joint Secretary (External Relations), Department of Atomic Energy.
Before joining as Ambassador of India to ASEAN in Jakarta, he headed the Passport Seva Programme (PSP) Division of Ministry of External Affairs.
Mr. Khobragade is an Engineering Graduate (Electrical).
